Pod Mod Squad

This is my new pod from Alaska Skycraft. They just STC'd these for all
C-180/185's works great, loss of 1 knot on the cruise speed. I measured the
speed loss off my brothers 185 flying at my side for 165 NM flight, TAS with
pod 149KTS at 7500 feet. Very slight increase in cylinder head temps in
climb that I solved by making my cowl flaps open 3/4 of an inch more in the
full open position. With full load, C/G is much more forward and the plane
flies much better without all the extra weight in the extended baggage area.
It will be great with all the gear we have to carry with both kids.
